"Happiness, knowledge, not in another place, but this place, not for another hour, but this hour."

Walt Whitman

MINDFULNESS THERAPY

Many of us are living the majority of our lives focusing on the past or worrying about the future and rarely living in the present.

Life can quickly pass us by when we’re not paying attention.

Inhabit Your Life, Live in the Now

Mindfulness is the cultivation of paying careful attention to all our experience in the present moment; paying attention moment to moment to our thoughts, feelings, sensations, and environment in a non-judgmental way.

When we observe our thoughts and feelings this way, with acceptance and compassion rather than blame and judgment, we begin to feel more at peace with our inner experiences.

Rather than being swept away by our emotions or having to numb out to avoid feeling them, it’s easier to notice them and let them go. Neither avoiding nor indulging.

With mindfulness, we also become more grounded, more connected with our inner life. We become more aware of our habits and patterns – and are better able to change them.

Rather than being on auto-pilot, we become more engaged in our lives with full attention, purpose and intent.

Life is not something that just happens to us

Mindfulness helps us become the authors of our own life story.

My goal is to help you connect with your inner strength and wisdom, and to help you develop skills to work with difficult emotions in the present moment. Life can feel more real, more authentic, more satisfying – even if you are experiencing pain and suffering.
